Have you ever had the feeling lately that many people in the world don’t seem, to know what they are doing how they are doing it, and why they are doing it? I have listened to conversations and what people are saying, and they all seem to be lost.
It is as if we are all waiting for something to happen. But we don’t know what.
Nobody seems to be listening to the little man and woman anymore. There are lots of people preaching to the little man and woman but not bothering to listen to their response. All sorts of promises are being made, but when the time comes for action others are being blamed for the inaction.
I read the newspapers from around the world, reading the same thing time and time again. Not enough houses, medical services could be better, children are committing suicide, the third gender are being abused. I ask myself why? What is happening?
Those of us who believe in the future of this planet are making their voices heard but many of those we have put into positions of leadership and power are not taking any notice. I believe they don’t care.
So, what can we do about it?
We can sit on our backside of complacency and hope the lord of which ever religion you believe in will send us someone to fix it, or stand and fight. I believe it is time for us all to stand up and fight and say ‘this world cannot go on like this anymore.’
Is it going to be easy? Of course not. We’re up against money and power supported by money. We need independent thinkers who are not concerned about themselves, but who can do more for this planet and its inhabitants. With that I mean all life here on this earth, not only just human beings.
But where do we find these people? And the most important thing is how do we get them into powerful positions where they can make things happen?
I do believe there is hope. My cry in the wilderness is not alone. Many opinion pieces these days are being written and printed in newspapers and magazines. These pieces are suggesting we as humans go back to some of the methods of yesterday. The morals, ethics, responsibilities, thoughtfulness and kindness. Things that were promoted by our grandparents.
Now when I say go back, I do not mean return to our way of life in the 1940s and 50s. No, not at all. Our lives have changed in many ways for the better, we have better medicines, transport, food, a much better way of life. No. What I am promoting here is a reintroduction of the niceties in life that showed respect for others and made people feel part of a family.
These people promoting values of yesteryears are people who believe in the future. They are slowly making their voices heard, but as many of our leaders with power are not listening, we need to make them hear and understand our desires for a better life style. Now, of course you are going to ask how do we do that?
A goodly number of these leaders, although they are supposed to be advised by people with knowledge, are not being given the right information. It is as if they and those around them are happy to see the world falling apart in front of their eyes. So, somehow we have to change those advisors and leaders for people we can trust who will represent us and this planet.
We are in a time where the internet has collected and can supply information. I will admit that some of it is incorrect, and much of the AI distribution has a habit of collecting lots of information which is wrong. But, knowing that, is useful. There are enough of us sensible people on this planet that can work out when someone is using the internet for their own purpose. We need to disregard their suggestions. If you are listening to this podcast, I would cast you as one of those sensible people.
We have to discover who these smart, knowledgeable thinkers are, and start promoting them and what they are saying. Now if I asked you what is the best way to do this? Would you say, social media? May be, but that has become the most read form of communication of late. So, it would seem this would be the best course. But, for too long social media has been used to promote bad things. So how about we change that and start using the medium for what it was invented. The original concept was to get people together whereas now it is projecting animosity between people. Let’s make social media the medium for improving our lives.
We need to get through to all humanity on this planet, letting them know how we want to live: who we want in power and to use the best advisers with all that knowledge. Social media can help, but we now have to use it for good and not evil. With this comes a problem. There are people who will see this as an opportunity to gain power. They are no better than the people we are trying to change. So, we must be vigilant and not give them a chance to use what we are trying to do for their own gains.
I believe it’s time for us human beings to start doing the job we were born to do. And that is? Looking after this planet. Looking after all the vegetation, insects, fish, birdlife, animals and ourselves. We are the ones capable and we have a duty to save this blue planet which sits in this solar system, circulating our sun, which keeps everything alive.
There is no way we can move off this planet, and as much as people want to go and live on the moon or mars, I believe we would just be taking our problems with us. What is the point of that?
So where does that leave us? Here on our earth with some people in power who don’t care about anyone else but themselves, and billions of people who can, if encouraged, change other people’s minds for the better.
I started my podcast and this blog with that idea. I have written and brought people to the microphone to discuss, families, power, money, communication, health, religion, subjects such as sex and addiction which people don’t want to discuss and recently a universal language, weather and our planet. All these categories are part of our life. Part of our being on this planet earth. Part of our existence on this earth, our home.
The time has come for everyone who wants to see things improve, and not just for their benefit but the planet and every living thing here, to step up and put their name and life on the line.
Every time there is a war those being invaded stand up for their country. This time it is a war, but from within. We have to stand up and fight. If we don’t, no one has the right to complain that everything went wrong. It’s like voting in an election, if you don’t vote you cannot complain when everything turns into a mess.
Like an election, this is your chance to have a say in how your planet is run. A say in who dictates the direction we are heading for in the future. A say in how we use the knowledge being produced by generous, knowledgeable people who can see how things can be improved.
We’ve seen what the internet can do and how it has bad effects on so many people’s lives and the planet. Now is the time for everyone to use that internet to change things around. Time to show those greedy people who have grown rich from how they have set things up to cause disadvantage and poverty, that they no longer have the power to control our minds. Time for us all to stand as one and say ‘this world cannot go on like this anymore’. We are going to change it.
Now is the time to form or join groups anxious to see improvements. Time to add your name to a list of supporters for a better planet. Time to demand those selfish people in power to become better people and stop the damage they are doing to this planet. Time to let those people in power understand they can no longer get away with harmful concepts and ideas that not only ruin the planet but in the end cause everyone and everything to suffer. It is time to make sure that those with knowledge and desire to improve our lives and the planet are listened to.
Imagine what we can achieve if we all work together. As I said there are billions of people being disenfranchised by those greedy people with money and power. There are only a few of them and they hold more money than many countries in the world. They don’t use that money to help others, they use their money to make more for themselves. How selfish is that?
You and I are the future of this planet. You and I can do it. You and I will do it, because you and I are fed up with the things that are currently taking place. We want a better world. And, I trust that you will join me in trying to achieve this goal.
Join in today by starting that list of supporters of a better world and get all your friends and relatives to sign. Let the world know the majority of humans living on this planet have had enough of these selfish people ruining our lives and our planet. There has always been power in numbers. We have the numbers, it is you and I, and all your friends and relatives, and their friends and relatives. In other words the billions of little men and women around the world standing up to those people with power and money who are not supporters of a friendly planet where every living thing survives. This is what we want and no they cannot do this any more. This planet belongs to us all. Time for those greedy rich and powerful people to change their habits and begin by helping our earth and its inhabitants instead of being selfish and destructive.
